Renovations to the 106,000 sq. ft Advanced Manufacturing Training Center will provide a 21st century learning environment for students studying advanced manufacturing techniques, including welding, precision machining, mechanical design technology, and industrial engineering. The new space brings programs closer together, fostering a more collaborative learning environment among students. Each lab also has its own specialized set of classrooms.
The Student Success Center increases the level of services offered to students in need of special testing environments, tutoring or career counseling. The 15,000 sq. ft. renovation in an existing building includes a testing center, math/science lab space, a reading lab, and a variety of tutoring areas. The design of the new space is focused on providing flexible environments that support the many interests, preferences, and learning styles of Blackhawk Technical College students.
