MILWAUKEE, WI – Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP (PRA), one of Wisconsin’s leading architecture and interior design firms, will join Cedar Community in celebrating the dedication of its new assisted living facility — the Cottages at Cedar Run in West Bend, Wis.
The 60-unit facility is comprised of six, 10-unit households, fostering a home-like, residential feel for residents facing Alzheimer’s or related dementia.
Features of the new memory care facility include: unique exteriors on each cottage to enhance familiarity, open concept activity areas, European showers in each unit, extensive use of glass and skylights for natural light, limited corridors for easy way finding and a naturally-confining courtyard.
“We’ve worked with Cedar Community on several projects, and I’m continuously impressed by their commitment to designing facilities that truly cater to their residents and exceed expectations. The Cottages of Cedar Run is a prime example of this commitment, and it was an honor to be involved with this project.”
