Aspirus Wausau Hospital
Wausau, WIPRA has completed several projects for the Wausau Hospital over the years including: a Heart Institute/ambulatory care addition, a cancer care center and nursing unit renovation, the Regional Cancer Center for Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the Women’s Health Birthing Center at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Read moreIn 2012, PRA updated Aspirus Wausau Hospital’s master plan, which emphasized improvements to existing infrastructure, admitting, inpatient/ICU/OB, outpatient surgery, and critical care services (ER). PRA also completed a master plan at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI. As part of the master planning effort, PRA analyzed whether to build a new hospital or renovate the existing Keweenaw Hospital. In 2012 (10 years after the initial master plan was completed), PRA was asked to update the plan and options, which led to Aspirus selecting PRA to design an additional/renovation to the hospital and a new clinic.
PRA is also working on the 2,000 sq. ft. Aspirus Wausau Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy addition, as well as renovating the existing space adjacent to the emergency room into a CT scanner room within the hospital.

The infusions room allow patients to receive treatment while ensuring privacy

This space is for nurses to work when they are not interacting with patients, while still being available to answer visitors' questions
Aspirus Wausau Medical Surgical ICU Family Serenity Room
The serenity room features a large skylight and peaceful wall imagery to promote calmness and comfort for families and patients
Aspirus Wausau NICU Patient Room and Charting Area
The new 8,800 sq. ft. NICU accommodates up to 14 infants and features the latest advances in NICU technology and comfort
Aspirus Wausau Linear Accelerator
The linear accelerator provides additional medical services to the hospital patients
Aspirus Wausau Cancer Center Waiting Room
The waiting room has a variety of seating options to help patients and families get comfortable
