Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP (PRA), announces the completion of its latest project with Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital -- a new,18,400 sq. ft. clinic in Houghton, Michigan. PRA partnered with Miron Construction Co., Inc. to fulfill Aspirus’ goal for a new clinic that consolidates frequently requested services in one location. The patient-centered medical home design places patients first by providing clear way finding, reduced travel distances to services and close proximity of caregivers to points of care. Patients will be able to receive tests, procedures and therapy without the inconvenience of visiting multiple locations. Services include family medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, women’s health, outpatient therapies, pharmacy, lab services and diagnostic imaging.

The Power of Shared Knowledge

At PRA, we encourage a very collaborative approach to each and every project. Sharing and exchanging knowledge is a powerful tool, and one we believe should be practiced regularly. So when I was asked to join a Provider Expert Work Group to discuss the development of new dementia standards and training, I agreed to join without hesitation. The Department of Health Services (DHS) selected each member of the 25-person work group, which consisted of LeadingAge Wisconsin representatives, industry leaders and long-term care administrators and executives. We spent three hours reviewing and discussing the Briefing Paper on Dementia Care Standards prepared by the UW-Oshkosh Center for Career Development and Employability Training (CCDET). The CCDET reviewed numerous dementia care standards and strategies and identified ten major areas relating to the standards.

Plunkett Raysich Architects Announces Completion of New Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group Clinic

Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP announced the completion of the new clinic for Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group in Cudahy, Wis. The 10,000 sq. ft. facility, which opened its doors in February, replaces the medical group’s former Fine Lando Clinic. The new clinic features ample parking and easy access for handicapped patients.
